Ashley's LASIK Story
I remember first getting glasses in middle school after I had a hard time seeing the board in class. That turned into 10+ years of wearing contacts and glasses in order to see clearly.
On May 16, 2014, I received my LASIK procedure from Dr. Filutowski. I am beyond grateful! The entire process was so simple, and I woke up the very next day with clear vision – without my contacts or glasses on. And, I haven’t needed either since! I had zero hesitation knowing I was in Dr. Filutowski’s care. His state-of-the-art equipment, reputation and experience took away any worry. He is still notably the most experienced LASIK and SMILE surgeon in Central Florida.
Since then, many friends and listeners have had their own vision correction surgery at the Filutowski Eye Institute. They always say the same thing afterwards… “Why did I wait so long to do this?!” If anyone asks me about LASIK surgery, I say “why wouldn’t you?” I sure can tell you what a difference it’s made in my life. No more hassles with old eyeglass prescriptions, torn contacts, running out of contacts, and so on. Thank you Dr. Filutowski and the Filutowksi Eye Institute for my clear vision!

See the World More Clearly
Congratulations! You’ve taken the first step to changing your life with vision correction surgery. This is probably the Most Important Decision you’ve ever made when it comes to your vision. Now, imagine all the things you can do without glasses or contacts.
Vision Correction surgery (or refractive surgery) is a type of procedure designed to reduce your dependency on contacts & glasses. At the Filutowski Eye Institute, we offer our patients five different types of vision correction surgery.
Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE)
Implantable Contact Lens (ICL)
How does it work?
There are two types of vision correction surgeries: Laser Vision Correction and Lens Implant procedures. Laser Vision Correction reshapes your eye to fix your prescription. SMILE, LASIK, and PRK are types of laser vision correction. Lens Implant Procedures use an implantable lens to change how your eye focuses light. RLE and ICL are lens based procedures.
Now that you know a bit more about Vision Correction Surgery at the Filutowski Eye Institute, where do we go from here?
