    I listened to Leslye Gale on Magic 107.7 radio for years. She would tell about her great vision, and I always wondered what it would be like to see without glasses. I’m a snowbird, and while in Kentucky, which is my summer home, I was not seeing very well, and was diagnosed with cataracts. I waited to return to Central Florida, my winter home, to have my procedure with Dr. Filutowski. I had been hearing about him for years, and I had several friends who had surgery with him and told me “he was wonderful”.

    The staff of the Filutowski Cataract & LASIK Institute is exceptionally friendly, each and everyone. On the day of my cataract surgery, I hardly felt anything, and only one time did I feel a little pressure on my eye when Dr. Filutowski was using the laser. I did not take any sedative before the procedure, and went through it comfortably. I was a little cold, and was wrapped up in a nice warm blanket. I felt special, and the gals in their surgery center treated me as if I was the only patient.

    The procedure was over pretty quickly - it was over before I even knew it! I went home, and made myself some chicken noodle soup and rested. The next day I drove to my post op appointment by myself, seeing very well. I would recommend this to all my friends. I actually have one friend who is going to have surgery with Dr. Filutowski now that I have had such a good outcome. I will recommend him to everyone! I’m glad I waited to come to Florida to have my cataract surgery with Dr. Filutowski.

    My favorite sport is target shooting. With my cataracts, I basically had to give it up. I could no longer see road signs, and driving in bright sunlight became a real problem, especially here in Florida. Night driving was also a problem with halos around lights. I was almost blinded by the oncoming head lights. Everything in life just got dimmer, like looking at life through gauze material.
