Community Involvement of the Filutowski Cataract & LASIK Institute

The Filutowski Cataract & LASIK Institute has for many years exhibited social responsible by it’s involvement in a diverse group of charities and events that benefit people here in Central Florida and beyond. As a corporation, the Filutowski Cataract & LASIK Institute (FCLI) participates in many local charitable events with donations of High Definition LASIK procedures that are sold at auction. The proceeds of which then go to the charity.

The Institute and it’s employee’s participate in many different ways to help others in need. As a corporation, employees are encouraged to donate their own time and skills to benefit others. Skills from employee’s participation are often reflected back in the work place.
One example is when a group of employees volunteered to create a Holiday environment at resort property for a terminally ill child and their family to enjoy for a week during the holidays. This team effort included employees from different departments in FCLI. They worked collectively to accomplish making the child and family feel not only welcome upon their arrival, but festive during their holiday stay. The theme selected was “Teddy Bears”, and a bear laded tree with a giant Teddy for the child to keep and to snuggle with at the end of their day was placed at the base of the tree. The bear theme was carried throughout, from bear soaps in the bathroom to bear cookies in the pantry. These employees established a new working friendship that then translated to their daily work environment.

The Filutowski Cataract & LASIK Institute has participated to help those in need for others outside of Central Florida. Donations such as eye medications, coloring books, crayons and candies were donated to the Relief Projects for Haiti.

FCLI has participated in projects in support of our Armed Forces overseas, including shipments of eye drops to assist in the harsh desert environment.

The following is a list of some charities, foundations, and groups in which FCLI has participated over the years:
